John Vanns was a hero, the funeral encapsulated that from the Sugababes “About you now”, to the stories of his drunken debauchery or as you said Luke Pete’s personal testament to his brother, as one person said about him "You could meet John once or a hundred times and he always made an impression”, he was my best friend and I shall never forget him, Pete and Debbie nursed him through the hardest 5 months, his friends, family and even strangers were touched by his story of a young man who simply had it all have his life so cruelly taken away from him.

You can cry because he has gone or you can smile because he lived.
